  • The Alameda County Fire Department is a Consolidated Department serving the unincorporated areas of Alameda County, the cities of San Leandro, Dublin, Newark, Union City, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, with a total of 28 fire stations. Services include fire suppression, arson investigation, hazardous materials mitigation, paramedic services, urban search and rescue, fire prevention and public education.

  • The Alameda County Re-Entry Strategic Plan "Road to Re-Entry", adopted by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on March 11, 2014, outlines the vision, guiding principles, goals, performance measure and strategies for people who have had contact with the criminal justice system, living in Alameda County. There are approximately 15,000 individuals on parole and probation in Alameda County and national reports estimate that 1 in 4 individuals have criminal records. This comprehensive Plan, led by the Alameda County Probation Department, addresses the needs of this population and the systems that provide support.

    Provides water supply and treatment to the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton, Dublin San Ramon Services District and the California Water Services Company, untreated water for agriculture and flood protection in the Tri-Valley area of Alameda County. 80% of the source water is from the State Water Project conveyed through the Sacramento Delta.
